How to play Monopoly

Create or join a private room in under a minute — no install needed.

1. 1Go to BoardVerse and choose Monopoly (or open this game page).
2. 2Tap Create Room, or Join Room and enter a 6-character code.
3. 3Pick a display name if you are playing as a guest.
4. 4Share the room link or code with friends (2–8 players total).
5. 5When everyone is ready, the host presses Start Game.

Each turn follows a simple loop: roll, resolve the tile, then end turn.

1. 1When it is your turn, press Roll Dice.
2. 2Your token moves the rolled number of spaces.
3. 3If you land on an unowned property, you may Buy it or let it go to Auction.
4. 4If you land on another player’s property, pay the rent shown.
5. 5After all actions, press End Turn so the next player can go.

Own color sets to build and raise rent — that is how you win.

1. 1Buy streets, stations, and utilities when you can afford them.
2. 2Complete a full color set to unlock building.
3. 3Build houses evenly across the set, then upgrade to hotels.
4. 4Mortgage properties if you need emergency cash (rent stops while mortgaged).

Chance, Community Chest, Tax, Go, and Jail keep the game moving.

1. 1Landing on Go To Jail sends you to Jail — you do not collect GO money on that move.
2. 2From Jail you can try doubles, pay the fine, or use a Get Out of Jail card.
3. 3Chance and Community Chest draw a card and apply its effect immediately.
4. 4Income Tax / Luxury Tax deduct cash when you land on them.
5. 5Passing GO always pays you the GO bonus.

Deals and auctions are the fastest way to complete sets.

1. 1Open Trade to offer cash and/or properties to another player.
2. 2Both players must accept before the trade completes.
3. 3If someone declines to buy a property, it goes to auction — highest bid wins.

Bankrupt every opponent. The last player standing wins the match.

1. 1Force opponents to pay rent they cannot cover.
2. 2If a player cannot pay, they go bankrupt and leave the game.
3. 3When only one player remains, that player is the winner.
